Dear Mr. Tooke,
I descend to the best of knowledge from a direct
Paternal Dutch ancestor who arrive in New Amsterdam by 1653 and I am
advised by those in the family who are better researchers than myself that
at that time the Durch did not use surnames as we know them.
Now Tooke is a good English name that can be found mainly in the
Norfolk, Suffolk and Hertfordshire counties of England due to its Old Norse
origins.
Yours sincerely
John Size
