Hello,

I have not researched in NY until now. Have heard "war stories" about how
difficult it is. True? Here is where I start:

Carlos Rollin Billings, born in Albany, Sept 8 1852. I would like to get a
copy of his birth certificate. Please point me in the right direction.

His father, Carlos Rollin Billings, died in Mendon, VT, April 27, 1856.
Born? family?

His Mother, Irena Eddy, born March 26, 1830 - where? family?
