Hi Carol,

After a quick search of the census images at Ancestry.com, in the 1850
census I found:

Line 31, Dwelling #56, Family #61
Samuel S. Shultus, ae 49, laborer, born New York
Elizabeth, ae 56, also born New York
Samuel N, ae 14
Nicolas R., ae 10 could be 16
Charles E., ae 4
All boys born in New York and had attened school within the year.

1860 Census, Greenport, Columbia Co., Ancestry Image No. 9
Line 17, Dwelling #60, Family #60
Samuel Shultis, age, 59, boatman, value of real estate: tenant, value of
personal estate: 150, born in New York
Elizabeth, age 60, born New York
Samuel N., age 23 Farm laborer
Nicholas R., age 20, Farm laborer
Charles E., age 14, attended school within the year
All born in New York.

I also found a marriage record for Samuel N. Shultis from the book, "Baptism
and Marriage Records of the Reformed Churches of Ghent, West Ghent, Mount
Pleasant, and Stuyvesant Falls, 1775-1899" by Arthur C.M. Kelly, Kinship,
Rhinebeck, NY 1972
Page 126, No. 2081
6.29.1865 Samuel N. Shultis, Livingston and Jane Cole, Livingston

I did not find a marriage record for Samuel S. Shultis and Elizabeth.
Hope this helps.
Regards,

Susan
