In reading the following [at bottom of the page]
I thought of several years back... of my "happenings... only in Schoharie Co, NY".... I was quite upset at the cost of the wills etc... from there....by mail..... but found that they had all been microfilmed by the LDS in earlier years..... & the microfilming was terrifically good & quite readable.... cost me about $4.00 by ordering the film & looking at them at the LDS & making photocopies of the wills....

NYS allows surrogate courts to charge $65 just for looking in the index of
