When I read Betty's, Lisa's and Nancy's message re visits to the
various depositories, I get the impression that my planned visit to
Albany for research will be a waste. If I can't get copies of the
original documents, because of inaccessability or outrageous cost,
then I shouldn't visit the NYState Library or the Archives.

It look like the hoops for getting documents for my missing links are
futile.

I just went to Family Search, and can't find any of the Wills or
Letters of Administration that will help me answer my question. I
guess I don't know where to look.

I have been to Salt Lake, and will go back again next month to get what
is there but I want to find things that are not there.

I am discouraged, but am happy that I now know not to plan a trip to
those places. I will go and visit the address I found from the city
directory but guess I won't waste my time with the Archives and the
Library

I have 2 brick walls I hoped to break through but guess the documents
aren't there.

Thanks for warning me.

Marita
