I have searched the Cohoes Directories at the Cohoes Library and they have
always been part of the Troy Directories. The earliest version I found
there was 1886 so maybe there is no directory before then. You might find
the e-mail for the Troy Public Library and write them. I have been told
that they have a complete set of the directories. I hope to do some more
searching myself when I fly back East in Sept. I now live in So. Calif. but
am originally from Cohoes.
