Since installing AOL 9.0 I have had only a couple of spam messages instead of
the half-dozen per day I used to get. They were about medicines, none about
mortgages or "organ enhancement" or buxom women.

Pop-up ads used to be extremely annoying but since installing Ad-aware from
Lavasoft in July (I think it was around $29.00) I have not had ONE pop-up ad.
According to their log they removed 171 and quarantined 189 in the five months
I have had this program.
