Hello Everyone

I pay $229.90 for all of Ancestry.Com for the year. This is one of several
paid sites that I contribute to. However, if I want to document for any
Lineage work, I cannot use the B, D and M Records from Ancestry.Com, I have to
acquire a primary source or secondary source may be used in some instances in
addition to any clues found on Ancestry.Com.. Documentation is required for all the
Lineage memberships. If the information on Ancestry.Com is from another
individual it should be thoroughly researched by yourself before assuming it is
correct. I find a great deal of errors and undocumented information out there.
Not to mention errors made in transcriptions. One reason it is not accepted by
Lineage Groups. There is some information that you can use, but not all of it.

You might find a Record for Military Service or Pension on Ancestry.Com but
it has limited information and it does not give you the valued information that
the Service Record or Pension Record supplies you with.

I do not live in NYS any longer and cannot afford to travel back and forth
all the time, so I use the FHL (Family History Library) of the LDS Church and
obtain the wonderful microfilms of information that they have filmed from
original Vital Records and church records for a small fee. I am also a frequent
user of NARA for getting information.

Regards
Pat R
