You might want to look into the census collection and newspaper collection
at the State Library. You might do better on death certificates if you go to
the Albany County Vital Statistics Office. They usually turn around mail
requests in several days or can sometimes have them ready while you wait. I
don't know what other info you are looking for. It depends on who you get at
Albany Rural as to how helpful they will be. Ask to see the index card for
your ancestor and then for the plot card for that grave. You may then find
others in the grave that you can then get the index card. Then go to the
State Library and look for obits. Good luck, Pat
