I found this information but I am unsure if the spelling is correct, but I
thought it was worth forwarding:

James married (1) Lucy GILSON, daughter of Gideon B. GILSON and Mary DAILEY
on 5 Jan 1815 in Ellicott, Chautauqua, New York. Lucy was born 20 Aug 1798
in Montgomery, Orange, New York. She died 19 Aug 1880 in Fowler, Clinton,
Michigan.
