VOL IV, NO 52, FRIDAY JUNE 29, 1866
Hunting Match. We understand that the young men of New Hudson are to have a
hunting match on July 3d. Two parties are to start out, and the one
returning with the least game, is to furnish a dinner for the Nimrods on the
"Fourth". The dinner will be given in this village, we learn.

VOL V, NO 50, FRIDAY JUNE 7, 1867
All Promenade. G. O. Crandall of the Exchange Hotel, Belfast, is to give a
grand Hop on July Fourth. Mr. Crandall always gets things up in "apple-pie
order," and disciples of Terpsichore who attend his party will have a gay
time.

VOL V, NO 52, FRIDAY, JUNE 21, 1867
Third of July Dance. Perry HIBBARD, the popular landlord of the Boston
House, Black Creek, gives one of his famously pleasant dances, on the
evening of July 3d. Everybody should go and take a lady with them, as under
Mr. Hibbard's excellent management, the House has acquired an enviable
reputation as a Hotel, and a quiet, orderly, and enjoyable dance has become
a specialty of the institution.--
We bespeak for Perry all the people he can accommodate, and unmixed joy to
the gay and festive company who are certain to throng his house. The best
of music will be in attendance.

VOL VI, NO 52, FRIDAY JUNE 19, 1868
Wellsville. We understand that our friend W. F. BEMENT has been announced
as one of the orators for a Fourth of July Celebration at Wellsville. Mr.
Bement is one of the best speakers the Democracy has in this county, and he
has been invited on this occasion by one of the most talented of Allegany's
young sons-- the Chairman of the Democratic County Committee. He probably
will accept. Where is John C. Adams?

VOL VII, NO 1, FRIDAY, JUNE 26, 1868
Smiths' Driving Park is attracting a good deal of interest. Russell SMITH,
one of Cuba's progressive business men, is now grading and has it partly
fenced. It is one of the finest driving parks in the state, designed to be
opened on the 4th of July, at which time there will be a trot. So bring
your fast horses, and go to Cuba and while there stop with our friend Maj.
L. J. REYNOLDS, owner and proprietor of the Cuba House, who has the pleasing
faculty of making his guests at home.
