> William F. Gillett was born about 1831 in the state of New York. Parents
are likely to be John D. born about 1797 in NY and Cornelia ? born about
1804 in VT. John D. was an Inn Keeper in Pavilion. I found William in the
1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 census for Pavilion. In 1870 and 1880 he is
listed in the household of Edwin H. Bond who apparently is the husband of
William's sister Adelaide.
>
> Up to 1880 I don't see any clue that William was ever married. I can't
locate him in the 1900 census. The burial information is from the Genesee
County US Genweb Web Site.
>
> I also see on Ancestry.com the Civil War Pension Index there is a listing
and an image for William's Pension Index Card. Apparently he applied for a
pension in 1880. You could get the pension record from NARA and that would
have the name of his spouse if there was any.

link up with any of mine.
