Subject: Friendship NY Scrapbook 1917 death of Victor Carlstrom pilot

Victor Carlstrom who flew over our village several months ago in his great
Chicago- New York flight crashed to death from an alttude of 3500 feet at
Newport Wednesday He was making the flight with a pupil. He had the record for
altitude having reached 16,500 feet above ground with a passenger. 21 May 1917.
