Hi all!
Looking for info on LILA GANS. B. 17 oct 1927. She grew up on NOBEL
AVE. in the Bronx. Her son, my husband, says that they lived near
Yankee Stadium. As a child she use to walk or ride her bike to the
games. Her father LOUIS GANS drove a taxi. His own taxi, not for a
business. Her was mother, EVA YOLLES. She had a brother named
Seymour. As an adult, he also drove the taxi for his father.

We know very little about either the GANS or the YOLLES families. I do
know that the GANS family owned a soap factory on the east coast.
Lila's great or gggrandfather owned it. They were well off, but the
money all was spent before lila was a teenager.

Does anyone have access to city directories? If so could they look up
both of these names for me? Any help is greatly apperciated!
