I relaize this is a very sensitive and emotional subject. Further I do
not intend to use a genealogy list to engage in political debate. We have all
heard stories of "lamp shades" and victims who were made into "soap". The
reality is, these two "facts" came from the script of the movie "The Caine Mutiny".
As for Auschwitz, the fact is that the entire camp of Auschwitz was burned to the
ground do to rampent infestation of typhus, what you visited was a reconstruction
of Auschwitz. The study of genealogy is the study of our families and facts. We
have all "heard" of the sale of black slaves, but how many have been told of the
more than 100,000 Irish that were sold in the same slave markets in Barbados by the
forces of Oliver Cromwell in the late 1600? This is not to say Nazi were nice
people!! The Japanese, in WWII, told their citizens "All US Marines had to kill
their mother and father and bring the head of their sister to the recruiter inorder
to be come a marine." That did not make it true! Look at what you are being told
every day about what is going on in Kosovo. Then go read the Greek newspapers.
My intent is not to offend anyone. Do your own investigation. David Irving, is a
very highly respected historian, get some of his books from your local library.

being killed in concentration camps. HOW MUCH INFORMATION DO YOU NEED
TO ACCEPT THE FACT THAT SO MANY PEOPLE WERE KILLED. A few years ago I
visited Auschwitz in Poland. It was quite an eye opener. My friend's
mother was taken to a concentration camp when she was a teenager, and
she tells stories about people being taken out every day. I can't
believe that you have doubts.
