It seems that some have taken offense to the word "embellished".

I will soon be 63 years of age. I am a veteran of 32 years of military service.
In the course of a life time, I have been feed enough propaganda and B.S. to fertelize
every corn field in Kansas!! Let us first start with the "sneak" attack on Pearl
Harbor. Both Churchill and FDR knew well in advance. How many that were alive
when JFK was assinated and personally recall the incident believe Oswald was the loane
killer? What is your version of the governments action at WACO? While I would
guess many can tell me all about "The Diary of Ann Frank". How many know her family was
paid $50,000 for the movie rights and more than 50% of the diary was written in
ball point pen, not invented until after WWII. How many can give any historical
information on the USS Liberty?

Suggested reading: "I kept my promise: My story of the Holocaust" 1995 .. The auther
Jacob Birnbaum, from Poland spent 3 years in 6 different Nazi concentration camps.
On August 31, 1998 ( Joel Blocker, Radio Free Europe, Prague) a class action suit
calling for compensation for slave labor against 16 German corporations among which
were, Volkswagon, Daimler-Benz and Siemens. It begs the question "What make auto
do my critques drive?

A great deal of information put out during WWII was propaganda designed to demonize the enemy of both sides.

If you wish to learn of real brutality, research the "Rape of Nanking" in 1936.
When is the last time you saw a movie or TV program that dealt with the subject
matter. Maybe because there are not many chinese movie makers or TV producers.

I have serve with individuals who collected the ears from dead Japs as well as their
gold teeth kept in a bag. In Viet Nam one Ranger unit that I know of, decapitate
the dead enemy. Impaled the head on a pole and put their unit shoulder patches
on the corpes tongue! We are currently engaged in a "peace action" in the Balkins,
one should know it has long been the practice in this area to castrate all male
prisioners and gang rape all female prisioners until enpregnated. This is the way
they destroy their enemy.

Genealogy is a study of the history of our families. It is most interesting, because
you will learn more "real" history than by obtaining a PHD. I would assume all on the
list are mature adults. If you find my statements offensive, research both sides. I
welcome debate. I do not think this list is the place for that debate. But neither
do I feel it is the place to attack me or anyone else who's view you disagree with.
