Hi List,

Thank you to everyone that responded to my request for information about the
NYS Archives.

I was under the mistaken impression that one could obtain copies of
certificates directly from the Archives. That is NOT the case. One CAN,
however, look through indexes to get certificate (birth, marriage & death)
numbers, then request the certs. from the Department of Health.

I appreciate all the good and helpful information.
