Hi,
I was a little surprised by that post also. I think it must be that
someone gave someone else some misinformation. I've done a lot of adoption
searching and I've never come across such a direct connection.
As for suggestions for you, I will go to my library today and find the
book title and author that I think offered the best advice for people
involved in adoption searches. I read just about everything the library
had to offer on the subjects of adoption, investigation, etc.; even
fiction, anywhere for an idea, and this book offered a way to try to
bridge that gap of when the adoptee disappears: i.e. when the case goes to
court and the records are sealed.
I will write back a little later today with the facts on that book. In
the meantime, have you gotten involved with any other searchers? Any
organizations concerned with adoption? These folks are sometimes well
experienced and very helpful.
till later,
Al Johnson
