In 1899, there was the Nursery of the Society for the Aid of Friendless
Women and Children at 20 Concord St. Also, the Brooklyn Nursery and Infants
Hospital at 395 Herkimer. I found several other orphanages in that period,
but not with the word "Nursery" in the name. These are after the period you
specified, but maybe they'll help. Good luck.
