Hello everyone!
I have never seen so much activity on a mailing list until I subscribed to
this one. So much good information for all!

Maybe you can help me and maybe I can help someone.

My Greatgrandfather, Emerson BROOKS b.11/19/1860 in New York City, NY. He
died in Pennington, NJ in 1948. He married Alice May Kunkel on 4/12/1892.
He lived on 357 Jefferson Ave, Brooklyn, NY.

He belonged to the Society of Colonial Wars, Sons of the Revolution and
Crescent of Brooklyn. What is Crescent?

Emerson's father was Horace & Mary Octavia(EMERSON)BROOKS of MA & ME
respectively.

Any clues as to what Crescent is, where is Jefferson Ave., don't know what
else to ask at this moment.

Presently, my family tree is as crooked as they come, limb wise so far.

Thanks so much in advance!

Keep cool! Presently at 4:30 EST in Waynesboro, GA it is 106 degrees, and
that is in the country!

Roughing it with no AC
Janice Breedlove
