Hi,
Nancy Lutz posted your e-mail on the Brooklyn-L list.
My g-grandfather was also a member of the Royal
Arcanum. I'm still searching what this org. is.
He was a jewler in Brooklyn and his name was
Thomas J. WALTERS. He lived at 1443 Fulton St.
for most of his life and died in 1925.
I been playing around with the word ARCANUM a bit
looking up various definentions. The closest I can come
up with is that it's a form of an old word that describes
a science of turning other metals into gold. So considering
he was a jeweler, it could possible be a jeweler's society???
That's the best I got so far.
Tom Schmidt.
