Subject: [NYBROOKLYN] 1880 census for Brooklyn
Date: Sat, 1 Jan 2000 13:41:52 -0600
I'm having a hard time understanding New York City, since I live in MO & we
have sometimes 2 counties on a 1880 census roll of microfilm. Am I
correct in thinking that New York City is divided into 5 burroughs, Bronx,
Brooklyn, Manhatton, Queens, & Staten Island. Would it be possible to
look up the 1880 census for Brooklyn?? I can interlibrary loan through
my local library the census if I knew what to ask for, & look at it page by
page for my KOENIG ancestor. I hope someone has used the 1880 census for
New York City & can advise me on this. Thanks.
Geraldine
