Bernie:
There are thousands of typefaces available, some public domain and others
proprietary. No single book could possibly show them all. If you are
running Windows 95, you should have (or can install) an accessory called
Character Map. This will probably appear under the Accessories menu. It
will allow you to view all the typefaces (AKA fonts) installed on your
computer. There is a comparable function available on the Mac (I think it is
called Font Viewer), and I assume under Windows 98. There are also
third-party utilities that will do this.
Character Map will also provide instructions for inserting some of the
special characters that cannot be accessed directly from the keyboard.
