Dear Listers:
Growing up our town always had sections designated generally by the ethnic
origin of the residents; the Italian section; the Polish section, etc. Were
similar designations used in Brooklyn 1880 - 1920's? If so, what was the
15th district? Were other designations popular? Was a particular section
more affluent than another? Any information on the social makeup of
Brooklyn 1880-1920's would be appreciated. Thanks
