I'm looking for two brothers both born in Brooklyn. They were the sons of
James Mimoso from Puerto Rico and Anna???
from Missouri. The eldest was James Edgar Mimoso, born 30 January 1898.
The second one was Bertram Meniose
(surname was misspelled), born 11 November 1899. According to the Census of
1900 the family lived in Ward 9, Baltic St..
Shortly after, James (the father) died and the widow returned to Missouri
with her two young children. She remarried in Missouri a man whose last
name was Mack, and he adopted the two boys.
I've been able to track James Edgar, who died in his 70's in California, but
I can't find any information on Bertram.
I've been looking for him under the surnames Mimoso, Menioso, and Mack, but
no luck. According to my family,
he lived until his 50's and always in the US.
Any suggestions?
