I received this from a friend who works at the Red Cross. Just thought I
would pass it along if any of you are interested in signing the petition.

Hi. If anyone would care to participate, there's an online petition currently
in progress asking the President to award the Presidential Medal of Freedom
to the WTC emergency personnel. Here's the first paragraph:

"We, the undersigned, respectfully request that President George W. Bush
award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to the brave fire, police, and
emergency rescue personnel who rushed to the aid of the victims of the World
Trade Center attacks on 11 September, 2001."

This is a legitimate website and yes, there is such a medal. If you're
