Obituaries
Mary ROURKE died yesterday at her home, 190 Bergen street. She was a life
resident of Brooklyn. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth ROURKE; one
niece, Elizabeth M., and a nephew Francis ROURKE. The funeral will be held at
9:30 A. M. Tuesday with requiem mass at the Church of St. Paul, Court and
Congress streets. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery under direction of
Edward H. C. DUNN, 339 Court street.
George DITMAR died Friday. He was born in New York City fifty-four years
ago and lived in Brooklyn most of his life. He was a member of the Paper
Workers Union. He is survived by one brother, Frederick DITMAR, and one
sister, Nellie FRUEH. The funeral will be held from Frank DARMSTADT Sons
Funeral Chapel, 80 Harrison place, Tuesday at 2 P.M. Interment will be at
Evergreen Cemetery.
William MILLER died Thursday. He was born in Brooklyn twenty-seven years
ago. He was in the employ of the Morgan Sand & Gravel Co. He is survived by
his father August MILLER; three brothers, John, Henry and Frank MILLER, and
three sisters, Minnie BROWN, Frances DAHL and Margaret COPPERSMITH. Funeral
will be held on Monday from 137 Thames street. Interment will be at Mount
Olivet Cemetery, under the direction of Frank DARMSTADT Sons, Central avenue
and Sixty-eighth street, Glendale.
William H. CLARKE died Thursday at his home, 26 Clinton avenue, in his
sixty-eighth year. He is survived by his widow Mary C. CLARKE. Funeral
services will be held tomorrow at 3 P.M. by Rev. E. Warren CROMEY of St.
Michaels P. E. Church. Interment Monday at 10 A.M. at St. Michaels Cemetery,
Astoria, L. I., under the direction of Joseph TARI, 121 Park avenue.
Louis SCHERELLO CIRELLO died yesterday at the Cumberland Hospital. He is
survived by his parents, James and Mary SCHERELLO. Funeral will be held Monday
at 2 P.M. from his late home, 250 Gold street. Interment at St. Johns
Cemetery under direction of Joseph TARI, 121 Park avenue.
John R. SMITH died yesterday at his home, 921 East Ninety-eighth street,
Canarsie, in his eighty-second year. He lived in Canarsie for more than sixty
years. He was a son-in-law of the late John SAVAGE, clerk of the old town of
Flatlands. He is survived by a son, Walter; one daughter, Florence FELDMAN;
four grandchildren and one great grandchild. The funeral services will be held
at 2 P.M. tomorrow at the funeral chapel of Daniel J. FULLERTON, 9718
Flatlands avenue. The Rev. C.S. KIDD will officiate. Interment will follow at
Canarsie Cemetery.
