Obituaries
William A. SCHOENFELD died Saturday at St. Johns Hospital, Long Island
City. He was employed by the Hoffman Beverage Company. He is survived by his
widow Mary; two daughters, Gloria and Marilyn; one brother and five sisters.
The funeral services will be held at his late home 78-28 Sixty-eighth road,
Middle Village, Queens, at 2 P.M. tomorrow. The Rev. Henry WASMUND will
officiate. Interment will be at Lutheran Cemetery under direction of Charles
M. LARMANN, 10 Pullis avenue, Middle Village, Queens.
Fredia KRAUS REED died Friday. She was born in Brooklyn Sept. 18, 1912 and
is survived by her husband Larry; one son Albert; her father Peter KRAUS, one
brother Peter KRAUS, Jr., and two sisters, Mrs. Charles WEBER and Mrs. Matthew
SCULLY. The Rev. F. R. REIDEL will conduct funeral services today at 2 P.M. at
her late home, 68 Granite street. Interment at Lutheran Cemetery under
direction of Charles MORTON of 578 Onderdonk avenue.
Margaretha STOECKLE died Sunday at her home, 635 East Fifty-second street.
She was born in Germany eighty-0ne years ago and has lived in the United
States and Brooklyn for the past sixty years. She leaves a nephew, Otto
WAGLUND. Funeral services Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Wednesday at 9:30 A.M.
Interment Greenwood under direction of Edward J. RENOUARD.
George CHAFFERS died yesterday in Bushwick Hospital. He was a life resident
of Brooklyn. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Amelia REHFUS, Elizabeth
and Marie CHAFFERS; three sons, George, sergeant of the twentieth precinct,
N.Y. P.D.; Harry J., of chief inspectors division N. Y. P. D., and Frank
CHAFFERS; two sisters, Mrs. Mary C. HUNT and Mrs. Macella KESSLAR, and six
grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the funeral chapel of Feeny &
Sons, 1847 Broadway at 9 A. M. Wednesday with requiem mass at the Church of
Our Lady of Grace, Howard Beach, at 10 A. M. Interment will be at St. Johns
Cemetery.
Dominick LAMBERTO died Saturday at his home, 595 Coney Island avenue. He
was an upholsterer. He was born in New York City twenty-one years ago. He is
survived by his parents, one sister and two brothers. The funeral will be held
at 9:30 A. M. tomorrow with requiem mass at the Church of the Holy Innocents.
Interment will be at St. Johns Cemetery under direction of Edward F. HIGGINS,
1286 Prospect avenue.
Edward M. OMALLEY died Sunday at his home, 65 Center street. He is
survived by his widow, Brigid and two daughters, Mrs. Catherine FITZSIMMONS
and Mary E. OMALLEY, and four sons, John Andrew, Joseph and Martin, and a
sister, Mrs. Mary LENAHAN. The funeral will be held at 9:30 A. M. Wednesday
with requiem mass at the Church of St. Mary Star of the Sea. Interment will be
at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mary A. FALLON, widow of James J. FALLON, died Saturday in Cumberland
Hospital. She was born in County Tipperary, Ireland and had been a resident of
Brooklyn for thirty-five years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs.
Catherine BAYONAN and Mrs. Sadie McQUADE, and eight grandchildren. The funeral
will be held at 9 A. M. tomorrow from 957 Bergen street with requiem mass at
the Church of St. Teresa. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery under
direction of John T. GALLAGHER, 204 Bedford avenue.
