Monday I went with some friends and rode my bike across the Brooklyn Bridge - boy was that neat. We took the ferry from Weehawken, NJ to 36th St and went south on a bike path through Battery Park and South Street Seaport, across the bridge and back up to a bike path on FDR drive. Got off at Houston St for
lunch at Katz's Deli - my friend (who grew up off Houston) was very disappointed that they don't have tea served in glasses any more - that was always the highlight of his trip there - they use styrofoam now. Was getting late - and starting to rain again, so we cut the trip short and took Houston to 6th Avenue
- not recommended! We had been planning to take FDR to Central Park then back to the Ferry.

It was a great trip - something I'd never done before - now that I'm doing genealogy, everything I see is in the eyes of the 1800's - it's amazing how much is still there from then.
