DIED

BROWN - On Monday, the 14th inst., Mary GREENWOOD, widow of Samuel P.
BROWN, in the eighty-third year of her age. Relatives and friends are
invited to attend the funeral from St. Mary's Church, Classon avenue, on
Thursday, the 17th inst., at 3 P. M.

O'HARA - in this city, on Tuesday, July 15, Mary, widow of Peter O'HARA,
aged eighty-one years. Funeral services at St. Paul's Church, corner of
Court and Congress streets, at 9 a. M., Thursday, the 17th inst. Friends
are respectfully invited to attend.

Body Identified
The body of a drowned man found in the Bay near Fort Hamilton has been
identified as that of Caspar KRAFT.

Brief Mention
Clarence CARROLL, the engineer in Heally's Iron foundry, who was injured on
Saturday last by being caught in the fly-wheel, died at St. Catharine's
Hospital yesterday.

Drowned in the Sound
John MC BREER, aged thirty years, of Melrose, accidentally fell overboard
and was drowned last evening, near Fort Schuyler, on the Sound, from the
steam yacht Edwin A. Hayes, which contained a pleasure party on its way to
City Island. MC BREER was employed by the Knickerbocker Ice Company, and
leaves a wife and several children.
