LITTLE CHILDREN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN AUTO MISHAPS
THREE RUN DOWN IN STREET SUSTAIN SKULL FRACTURES--MANY MINOR HURTS.
Liboria De GREDORI, 7 years old, of 2091 Pacific st., crossing Ralph
and Atlantic aves., was struck by an automobile driven by John HYLAND, of 314
Baimbridge st. She sustained a fracture of the skull and nose. She was taken
to St. Mary's Hospital.
At Howard and Blake aves was struck by a taxi driven by Pietro
DINILLIA, of College Point. The girl (unnamed) was attended for a possible
fracture of the skull. She remained at home.
Salvatore COSTELLO, 8, of 7204 New Utrecht ave. at New Utrecht ave.,
automodriven by Abraham LANDOW, of 663 Easr 52 st. The sustained a possible
fracture of the skull. He was taken home.
At Snediker and pitkin aves., Michael HEFERMAN, 19, of 336 16 st.,
was struck by an automobile driven by Joseph REICH, of 1371 Eastern pkwy. He
sustained injuries to the face and went home.
John Griffin, 8, of 719 East 12 st., was crossing near his home
when he was struck by an auto driven by Morris CLENDEMY, of 489 Hudson ave.
The boy suffered fracture of the right leg and was taken to Kings County
Hospital.
Adoph PASQUALONE, 12, of 688 Degraw st., was struck by a car driven
by Charles GRENWALD, of 1330 Rogers ave. The accident occurred in front of
the home of the boy. After treatment for slight injuries he went home.
Robert RABERMAN, 6, of 356 82 st., was struck by a car owned by
Anthony ORLANDO, of 1526 Neptune ave. The accident occurred at 84 st. and 4
ave. He refused aid and went home.
At 95 st. and 4 ave., Ann MASON, 7, of 248 93 st., was struck by a
car owned by Mitchell BODNER, of Fort Hamilton Reservation. She was attended
fro lacerations of the knee and went home.
Five year old Paul GOLDSTEIN, of 1802 75 st., was playing in front
of his home when he was struck by a car driven by John MARTINO, of 6716 15
ave. The boy was attended for lacerations and left for home.
Francis ZOBEL, 11, of 916 Atlantic ave., was taken to Jewish
Hospital suffering from lacerations and a fracture of the right jaw, He was
crossing in front of 694 Dean st., when he was struck by a car driven by
Harry HALPIN, of 1061 Hancock st.
Arthur MENDELSOHN, 31, of 1123 Avenue T suffered lacerations when
he was driving his car and was in a collision with another at Wast 13 st.
aand Avenue R. He was taken to Coney Island Hospital.
Samuel SWEIDLICK, 15, of 693 Stone ave., was riding a bike in Kings
Highway, near Snyder ave., when he was struck by a car driven by Julius
WIDRO, of 456 East 53 st. The boy suffered a possible fracture of the
collarbone and was taken to Kings County Hospital.
Sadie Levy, 22, of 8212 Church ave., was struck by a car driven by
Edward LANE, of 1727 81 st., at New York and Church aves. The woman suffered
a fracture of the right hip. She was attended and taken home.
Carine WELCH, 5, of 167 Jefferson ave. was taken to Kings County
Hospital suffering from a fracture of the right leg. She was struck by a car
driven by Frank CALENDAN, of 818 14 ave., at Nostrand and Jefferson aves.
Paul O'RIELLY, 6, of 11 St. Mark's pl., walking on Bergen st. near 3
ave., was struck by a car driven by Alexander BLANK, of 570 New York ave. The
child was taken to Holy Family Hospital suffering from a fracture of the left
leg.
At Nostrand and Flushing aves., Dominick SARDOHE, 4, of 51 Nostrand
ave., was struck by a car driven by Sarah BROWNSTEIN, of 2041 East 3 st. The
child sustained contusions of the lip and nose. He was taken home.
Mary DAVIS, 42, of 95 Cooper st., at Albany and Atlantic aves. was
struck by a car driven by John FAGEN, of 111-43 114 st, Richmond Hill. She
was treated by an ambulance surgeon from St. Mary's Hospital and taken home.
LAST OF THE ACCIDENTS FOR MAY 26, 1928
MAN, 73, FOUND DEAD IN HOME FROM GAS
Believed despondent because of ill health, Antony EHNIG, 73 years old,
of 373 Claussen ave., was found dead in his home yesterday. Gas was escaping
from a jet in the kitchen range. Dr. DAVIDOFF, of Cumberland Hospital arrived
to find his services were not needed.
