OBITUARIES
JAMES A. REILLY, a life resident of New York City, died Sunday at his home
422 Seventy-third street. He was associated with the Texas Corporation of
New York. He was a member of Our Lady of Angels R. C. Church where a solemn
mass of requiem will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 A. M. by the Right Rev.
Mgr. O' HARA. He is survived by his wife Anna McINTYRE REILLY; two sons;
James and William; one brother Hugh REILLY; and one sister, Margaret
REILLY. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of William
DUNIGAN & Son, Rogers avenue and Montgomery street.
GEORGE F. LE BOURVEAU died Sunday at his home, 228 Bleecker street,
Ridgewood. He was the son of the late Theodore and Nettie SIMON LE BOURVEAU
and a life resident of New York City. He was a stationary fireman and member
of Engineer and Fireman's Association of New York. He was also a member of
the Bushwick Avenue Church. Funeral services will be held at his late home
Wednesday at 2 P. M. He is survived by his wife Nellie FERAN LE BOURVEAU;
one son, Thomas M., two brothers, Hiram C. and Walter LE BOURVEAU and one
sister, Mrs. George LIND. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under
direction of William DUNIGAN & Son, Rogers avenue and Montgomery street.
EDWARD A. BIRD died yesterday in Kings County Hospital. He was a life
resident of Brooklyn. He is survived by his widow, Ann; his mother, Mary
BIRD and a brother, Thomas BIRD. The funeral will be held at 9:30 A. M.
Thursday from the funeral chapel of FEENEY & Sons, 1847 Broadway with requiem
mass at the Church of St. Benedict at 10 A. M. Interment will be at Calvary
Cemetery.
TIMOTHY J. HAGGERTY died yesterday at his home 682 Park place. He was the
husband of the late Julia SULLIVAN HAGGERTY. He was born in County Kerry
Ireland. He is survived by a daughter Mrs. GRADY and one sister, Mrs.
Bridget SHEA and a brother Bartholomew HAGGERTY of Ireland. He was a member
of the Holy Name Society attached to the Church of St. Teresa, where requiem
mass will be celebrated at 9 A. M. Thursday. Interment will be at Calvary
Cemetery under direction of F. H. McGUIRE, 856 Classon avenue.
LEONDARD HASPEL, JR., died yesterday at his home 482 Smith street. He was
born in Brooklyn 22 years ago. He was a member of the South Congregational
Church. He is survived by his parents, Bernard and Marie Will HASPEL; and
two brothers, Ralph and Warren HASPEL. The funeral services will be held at
2 P. M. Thursday. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery under direction of
George SEIBOLD, 384 Van Brunt street.
LOUISE FREIJI ABOUSSLEMAN died Monday at her home 420 100th street, near Fort
Hamilton parkway. She was born in Syria 48 years ago and lived in Brooklyn
for the past 33 years. She is survived by her husband, Michael, three sons,
George, Mitchell and Joseph and four daughters, Mrs. Rose ELHILOW, Mrs.
Margaret KERGE and Miss Lila and Sister Margaret Mary of the Dominican Order
attached to the House of Good Shepherd. Funeral form her late home Wednesday
at 9:30 A. M.; thence to Church of Our Lady of Lebanon, Hicks street, near
Joralemon street, where a solemn requiem mass will be celebrated by the Rev
Mansour STEPHEN. Interment at St. John's Cemetery, under the direction of
Jere J. CRONIN Inc., 115 Atlantic avenue.
DORA BARUTH, of 1251 Lincoln place, died Sunday in the Jewish Hospital. She
was born in Germany 75 years ago, and is survived by a daughter Mrs. Rose
CASPER; three sons, Samuel, Louis and Milton, a sister Mrs. M. STERN, a
brother Samuel BARUTH. Services will be conducted by Dr. Sigmund ROME today
at 2:30 P. M. at the Funeral Home, 187 South Oxford Street. Interment will
be at Washington Cemetery under the direction of CHRIS, TREBER & Son, 102
Norman avenue.
HENRY MAY died Sunday at Sea View Hospital, Staten Island. He was born in
Brooklyn Sept. 5, 1880. He is survived by his widow, Barbara; three sons,
Henry, Jr., Arthur and Rudolph MAY, six daughters, Lillian FERRERIO,
Christina, Anna, Henrietta, Della, Florence and one grandchild. Funeral
services Wednesday at 2 P. M. at his home, 1022 Wyckoff avenue, Ridgewood.
Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery under direction of Charles MORTON, 578
Onderdonk avenue.

CLEMENS RIEHEMANN died yesterday at his home 6935 62nd street, Glendale. He
was born in Germany and came to the United States at an early age, settling
in Manhattan. He is survived by his widow Wilhelmina; one son, George, a
daughter, Louise and his mother, two sisters and three brothers. He was a
member of the Teutonia Lodge 617, F. and A. M. The funeral services will be
held at 2:30 P. M. tomorrow Interment will be at Lutheran Cemetery under
direction of J. J. GALLAGHER Sons, 25 Aberdeen street.
JAMES MASTERSON died Sunday at his home, 13 Walnut street, Baldwin. He was
a son of the late James and Anna MATERSON. He was formerly an old resident
of the 14th Ward of Brooklyn, where he was engaged in the hotel business
until 15 years ago. He is survived by two sisters, Mary EUSTACE and Mrs.
Bessie WESEMAN and two nieces. The funeral will be held at 9:30 A. M.
Wednesday with requiem mass at the Church of St. Christopher, Baldwin.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
IDA HERLET died Monday in her 57th year at her home 168 Maujer street. She
was born in Germany and had been a resident of Brooklyn for 33 years. She is
survived by a son, Frank; three daughters, Ida, Gladys and Amelia and two
sisters. The funeral will be held at 2 P. M. Thursday. Interment will be at
Evergreen Cemetery under direction of Peter J. STENGER, 123 Meeker avenue.
ALLAN J. DOUGHERTY, son of Mary E. McAVOY and the late Francis BOUGHERTY,
died Saturday at Liberty, N.Y. He was educated in New York City and graduate
of Stuyvesant High School. He was a veteran of the World War and member of
the 27th Division, A. E. F. and the American Legion. He was a member of Our
Lady of Refuge R. C. Church Ocean avenue, where a solemn mass of requiem was
celebrated today at 10 A. M. In addition to his mother he is survived by one
brother, Francis, and three sisters, Vera, Marye and Cecile. Interment was
at Holy Cross Cemetery under direction of William DUNIGAN & Son, Rogers
avenue and Montgomery street.
JOHN SCHATZLE died Monday. He was born in Brooklyn 62 years ago. He was a
stevedore at Newtown Creed for a number of years. He was a member of the
Church of Our Lady of Sorrows, Morgan avenue, where a requiem mass will be
celebrated Thursday at 9 A. M. The funeral will be held from his home, 97
Morgan avenue. He is survived by his widow, Anna SCHATZLE, six sons, Edward,
Charles, Joseph, Frank and William SCHATZLE and Anthony ZIMMERMAN; two
daughters, Anna BROOKS and Minnie BROEDELL; fifteen grandchildren and one
sister, Rose DUNN. Interment wil be at Holy Trinity Cemetery under the
direction of Frank DARMSTADT's Sons, Central avenue and 68th street,
Glendale.
FRANCIS HOFFMAN died yesterday at his home, 110 Boerum place. He was born in
Brooklyn. He is survived by his father Harold; his mother Margaret DYER
HOFFMAN, one sister Margaret and two brothers, Harold and James. Funeral
from his late home, Wednesday at 2 P. M. under the direction of Jere J.
CRONIN, Inc., 115 Atlantic avenue.
DELIA A. LALLY KEARON died yesterday in her 51st year at her home, 980 East
94th street, Canarsie. He was the widow of William KEARON. She was born in
Brooklyn and lived fifteen years in Canarsie. She was a member of the Altar
and Rosary societies attached to the Church of the Holy Family, Canarsie,
where requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 A. M. Thursday. She is survived
by four sons, Joseph, George, James and Vincent; four daughters, Mrs. J.
WEEDEN, Catherine, Helen and Florence and a brother, John LALLY. Interment
will be at St. John's cemetery, under direction of D. J. FULLERTON< 9817
Flatlands avenue.
WILLIAM SCHMIDT died yesterday at the Methodist Episcopal Hospital in his
79th year. He was born in Germany and Had been a resident of Brooklyn for 52
years. He is survived by a son, Joseph SCHMIDT, and two grandchildren,
Hannabel and Florence SCHMIDT. The funeral will be held from his late home,
381 Douglass street, at 19 A. M. Thursday. Interment will be at Evergreen
Cemetery under direction of Thomas E. Crowe, 134 Smith street.
NICHOLAS A. CASSIDY died yesterday at his home 399 Bleecker street, in his
68th year. He was employed by the City of New York as chief inspector of gas
and electricity. He was a member of the 20th A. C. Democratic Club and was
for 25 years an election district captain. He was a member of the Brooklyn
Lodge, 22 B.P.O. Elks. The funeral will be held at 9:30 A. M., Thursday,
with requiem mass at the Church of St. Brigid. Interment will be at Calvary
Cemetery under direction of Bernard A. RUOFF, 1434 Myrtle avenue.
