Brooklyn Standard Union July 9, 1929 – Deaths

BENIZIO – Ippolito, died Saturday in his fiftieth year. He came to this
country about fifteen years ago and became engaged in the decorating
business. Funeral was held from his late home, 191 Manhattan avenue,
to-day, at 9:30 A.M.; thence to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception
Church, Leonard and Maujer streets, where a solemn requiem mass was
celebrated. Interment was at St. John’s Cemetery under direction of
Matthew L. Rogers.

BROWN – Joseph E., died yesterday at his home, 68 St. Pauls place. He
was for more than thirty years employed by the National Casket Company.
He is survived by his widow, Theresa M.; two sons, Joseph and Lawrence
BROWN. The funeral will be held at 9:30 A.M. Thursday with requiem mass
at 10 A.M., at the R. C. Church of the Holy Innocents. Interment will
be at Holy Cross Cemetery under direction of William J. Dalton.
Brooklyn Lodge # 22, B. P. O. Elks – Brothers: You are requested to
attend the funeral service of our brother, Joseph E. BROWN. Wednesday
evening, July 10, at 8 o’clock at his residence, 68 St. Pauls pl.

CRONIN – Margaret, In sad and loving memory of a beloved wife and
darling mother, who departed into eternity, July 10, 1926. Third
anniversary mass will be offered at St. Paul’s Church, July 10, at 8 A.
M. May her soul rest in Peace. A Precious one from us has gone, a
voice we loved is stilled, a place is vacant in our home, which never
can be filled. Husband and sons.

DEVINE – Alfred, Month’s mind mass will be offered at St. Agnes’ R. C.
Church, Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock. Wife Rose

DURNIN – Elizabeth, widow of Michael DURNIN, died Sunday at her home,
172 Fifty-seventh street. The funeral will be held to-morrow at 9:30 A.
M. from the home of her son, Michael DURNIN, 5505 Third avenue, thence
to the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, where a solemn requiem mass
will be offered, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery under the
direction of T. J. Higgins & Son, Inc., 203 Jay street.

FOX – Charles, died Sunday in his seventy-third year at his home, 47
Menahan street. The funeral will be held at 10 A.M. to-morrow with
requiem mass at the R. C. Church of St. Barbara. He is survived by his
widow, Dorothy; four sons, Luke, Charles, Frederick, and William; and
three daughters, Eva EMMERICK, Anna YOUNG, and Dorothy MILLER.
Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery under direction of William
West, 365 Evergreen avenue.

HENSLER – Barbara, died Sunday at her home 9421 129th st., Richmond
Hill. She was born in New York City and is survived by one son, George
J.; three daughters, Mrs. Martin HUCK?, Mrs. Charles ROEBER and Mrs.
John F. DAVIS. Requiem mass on Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. at the R. C.
Church of St. Benedict Joseph. Interment St. John’s Cemetery.

JOLLON – Helen W., daughter of Eugene JOLLON, of the Ninety-second
Precinct, New York Police Department, and Winifred LAVIN JOLLON, died
Sunday in St. Catherine’s Hospital. The funeral will be held at 10 A.M.
to-morrow from the funeral chapel of Fenney & Sons, 1857 Broadway.
Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
