Brooklyn Standard Union July 9, 1929 – Deaths

MCGROVER – John H., In sad and living memory of our dear son and
brother, who departed this life July 9, 1928. Anniversary mass was
celebrated this morning for my dear son. Mother, Sisters and Brother.

MOYLAN – Michael J., died yesterday at his home, 185 Menahan street. He
was born in County Galway, Ireland, and had been a resident of Brooklyn
for thirty-seven years. He was a member of Local 773 of the
Bricklayer’s Helper’s Union. He is survived by his widow, Bridget
MOLLOY MOYLAN; two daughters, Mrs. Mary BUERKEL and Agnes MOYLAN; two
sons, John and Thomas MOYLAN; a sister, Mrs. Mary JACOBS; a brother,
Thomas MOYLAN, and nine grandchildren. He was a member of the R. C.
Church of St. Bridget, where a requiem mass will be celebrated at 10:30
A.M. Thursday. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery under
direction of Feeney & Sons, 1857, Broadway.

PARKER – Agnes, died Sunday at her home, 221 Clarkson avenue. She was
born at Parrs Boro, Nova Scotia, Canada, Twenty-three years ago. Coming
to this country about two years ago, she settled in Flatbush. She was
the daughter of Birdie and the late Burton FIFE and is survived by her
husband, Carvel PARKER; a daughter, Dolores PARKER; her mother, Mrs.,
Fife FLYNN; four brothers, Roy, Dick, Thomas and John, and three
sisters, Rhoda, Isabelle and Christina FIFE. The funeral was held
to-day at 8 A.M. from the mortuary of Thomas H. Ireland at 1088 Nostrand
avenue, and after services the body was shipped to Parrs Boro, Nova
Scotia, where interment will be made at Parrs Boro Cemetery.

QUINLISK – Thomas, died Sunday at Chicago, Ill. He formerly lived on
Atlantic avenue. He is survived by his widow, Elizabeth, and a brother,
James QUINLISK, of Chicago, and a sister, Theresa QUINLISK, of
Brooklyn. The funeral will be held in Chicago, under direction of Frank
E. Spaulding, 131 Atlantic avenue.

REBSTEIN – Lawrence P., In sad and loving memory of our dear son, who
departed this life July 9, 192?. May his soul rest in peace. Gone,
never to be forgotten. Family.

SCHMIDT – Mamie, On Tuesday, July 9, 1929, beloved wife of Joseph
SCHMIDT and daughter of Marie BORSMAN. Funeral services at the New York
and Brooklyn Funeral Home, 187 South Oxford st., on Thursday, July 11,
at 8 P.M. Funeral Friday, 10:30 A.M. Interment to follow at Lutheran
Cemetery.

SCHWILK – Ludwig, on July 7, in his 64th year. Funeral service at his
home, 102-11 86th st., Woodhaven, L. I., on Wednesday, July 10, at 8 P.
M. Interment Thursday, 2 P. M., Maple Grove Cemetery.

SIMONS – Monica A., died yesterday in her thirty-third year in the
Jewish Hospital. She was born in Brooklyn and had been a resident of
Canarsie for the past fifteen years. She was a member of the Altar and
Rosary societies attached to the R. C. Church of the Holy Family,
Canarsie. She is survived by her husband, Frank; two sons, Francis and
Edward; her parents, Anthony and Monica; three brothers, Charles, John
and Edward O’BRYAN, and a sister, Mrs. Eleanor ARONSON. The funeral
will be held from her late home, 9914 Glenwood road at 9:30 A.M.,
Thursday with requiem mass at the R. C. Church of the Holy Family,
Canarsie. Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery under direction of
D. J. Fullerton, 9718 Flatlands avenue.
