OBITUARIES
JOHN A. ANDERSON, for twenty-one years production manager for the publishing
firm of DeSYLVIA, BROWN and HENDERSON, and formerly a resident of Brooklyn,
died Monday at Palenville, N. Y. He was born in the Bay Ridge section of
Brooklyn 37 years ago and lived at Mountain View, N. J. He is survived by
his widow Myra A; a son, John William; a daughter, Eleanor Ruth; his wife,
Hannah, a sister, Helen and two brothers, Albert and William ANDERSON. He
was founder of the Mountain View Civic League and Methodist Episcopal Church
of Mountain View, N. J. The Rev. Dr. GWYN will conduct the funeral services
at 2 P. M. tomorrow at the Funeral Home, 187 South Oxford street. Interment
will be at Lutheran Cemetery under direction of Benjamin GRINDROD, 27 Hull
street.
ALFRED SZAWLOSKI, died yesterday at the Brooklyn Naval Hospital in his 62nd
year. He was born in Warsaw, Poland, and was a resident of Brooklyn for the
past 43 years. He was employed by the Department of Water Supply, Brooklyn.
He was a Spanish American War veteran. He is survived by one son, Alfred,
Jr. The funeral will be held from the hospital, Thursday, at 2 P. M.
Interment at the National Cemetery, Cypress Hills.
SARAH A. HALL QUINLAN died Monday at her home, 159 Eastern Parkway. She was
a widow of Charles QUINLAN. The funeral will be held from her late home at
9:30 A. M. tomorrow with requiem mass at the Church of St. Ignatius, Rogers
avenue and Carroll street. Interment will follow.
VIRGINIA THEOBALD, died Monday at her home 77-17 64th street, Glendale. She
was 18 years old. She was the daughter of Walter and Matilda THEOBALD. The
funeral services will be held at her late home at 8 o'clock tonight.
Interment at 10 A. M. tomorrow will be at Lutheran Cemetery.
JOHN J. FITZGERALD - died Monday at his home 9919 216th street, Queens
Village. He was born in County Tipperary, Ireland and had been a resident of
Brooklyn and Queens for many years. He is survived by his widow, Katherine;
a daughter, Anastasia; one son, Edward; his mother, Sarah FITZGERALD; four
sisters, Sister Miriam Louise, O.S.J. attached to St. Teresa's School, Mrs.
Edward F. DELFOE, Mrs. Mary IRVING and Mrs. Fred PIEL, and two brothers,
Peter and Curtis FITZGERALD. He was a member of the Church SS. Joachim and
Ann, where requiem mass will be celebrated at 10A. M. Friday. Interment will
be at St. John's Cemetery under direction of FEENEY & Sons, 1842 Broadway.
MORRIS WILLIAMSON died last Friday at Long Beach, Cal. He is survived by his
widow, Lena; three sons, Leonard, Joseph and Frank and one daughter, Ruth
GOLDSTROM. The funeral services will be held at 1 P. M. tomorrow at Temple
Emanuel, 49th street and 14th avenue, Borough Park. Interment will follow at
New Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cypress Hills.
MEYER RUDORFER died Monday at Atlantic City, N. M. He was a student at New
York University. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. RUDORFER; a
brother, Harry, and a sister, Mrs. Helen GORDON. The funeral services were
held at 11 A. M. today at Shomrel Emanuel, 14th avenue and 52nd street.
Interment followed at Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
BRIDGETTA LEISER died Tuesday at her home, 153 Himrod street. She was born
in Germany 80 years ago, came to the United States 45 years ago and lived in
Brooklyn ever since. She was a member of the Church of St. Barbara where a
requiem mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 A. M. She is survived by two
daughters, Lena LEISER and Emma BUSCH; two grandsons, John MATTERN and
Ernest BUSCH. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery under the direction
of Frank DARMSTADT Sons, 68th street and Central avenue, Glendale.
LOUIS RENNER died yesterday at his home 345 Leonard street. He was born in
Philadelphia, Pa., and lived for 10 years in Greenpoint. He is survived by
his widow,Mary, and one son George RENNER. The funeral will be held at 2 P.
M. Saturday. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery.
CHARLES WILSON died Monday at the home of his daughter, Hattie BURFORD at
120A Rockaway avenue, in his 75th year. He is survived by two other
daughters, Mrs. Ida KLOSPER and Mrs. Clara HICKS; one son, Joseph WILSON; a
brother, Edward WILSON and several grandchildren. The funeral will be held
at 2 P. M. tomorrow from BALMER's Funeral Home, 72A Norman avenue.
Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery under direction of Harold J.
BALMER.
JOHN F. McGUIRE died yesterday at his home 110 Dwight street. He is survived
by his widow, Alice SERA McGUIRE; his parents, exAssemblyman Thomas F. and
Mary HALEY McGUIRE, and a brother Thomas F. McGUIRE, Jr. He was a member of
the Loretta Council K. Of C. The funeral will be held at 9:30 A. M. Friday
with requiem mass at the Church of the Visitation. Interment will be at Holy
Cross Cemetery under direction of Joseph REDMOND, 103 King street.
CATHERINE MARGARET ROBINSON died Monday at her home, 962 Park place. She
formerly lived in Greenpoint. She was the wife of Joseph B. Robinson. The
funeral will be held from her late home 9:30 A. M. Tomorrow with requiem mass
at the Church of St. Gregory, Brooklyn avenue, and St. Johns place.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
CATHERINE PULFERMILLER BENDER died yesterday at her home, 349 Stockholm
street. She is survived by a daughter, Fredericka A. SMITH; a son Rudolph
BENDER, two sisters, Fredericka PULFERMILLER and Annie PHILIPPI; six grandc
hildren and one great grandchild. The funeral will be held at her late home
at 2 P. M. Friday. Interment will be at Lutheran Cemetery under the
direction of George WERST, Inc. 572 Hart street.
