Obituaries
Rose SAVERESE died Monday at her home, 238 East Seventh street. She is
survived by her mother, Fortunata; two brothers, Bernard and Vincent, and one
sister, Carolina SAVERESE. The funeral will be held at 9:30 A.M. tomorrow
with requiem mass at the R. C. Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Windsor
Terrace. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Frank J. REAPER died yesterday at his home, 67 Joralemon street. He was
born in Brooklyn forty-five years ago and is survived by a sister, Margaret V.
REAPER and two brothers, John J. and Charles F. REAPER, and an aunt, Mrs.
Annie F. McCANN. He was employed by the Postal Life Insurance Company for
thirty years. He was a life member of Columbus Council 126, K. of C., and the
Holy Name Society of the R. C. Church of St. Charles Borromeo, where requiem
mass will be celebrated at 9:30 A. M. Friday. Interment will be at Holy Cross
Cemetery under direction of J.J. Cronin, Inc., 115 Atlantic avenue.
Helen F. KETTEL died Tuesday at her home, 203 Freeman street. She was born
in Greenpoint nineteen years ago. She is survived by her mother, Mary; two
brothers, Joseph and Edward, and two sisters, Sarah and Julia. Solemn requiem
mass will be offered at St. Columbkill R. C. Church, Dupont street, Friday at
9:30 A.M. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery under direction of John
McELROY, 949 Manhattan avenue.
William SHOWERY died yesterday at his home, 68 Stratford road. He was born
in Brooklyn twelve years ago. He is survived by his parents, Victor and Annie
Bard SHOWERY. The funeral will be held at 2 P.M. Friday and interment will be
at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under direction of Jere J. Cronin, Inc., 115 Atlantic
avenue.
Maria VASCONCELLOS died Sunday in Pilchers Sanitarium. She was born in
Spain twenty-five years ago and lived nineteen years in Brooklyn. She is
survived by her husband, Manuel and a daughter, Maria. The funeral will be
held at 2 P.M. Friday and interment will be at St. Johns Cemetery under
direction of Jere J. Cronin, Inc., 115 Atlantic avenue.
Michael PISGIACONO died Monday in St. Marys Hospital. He was born in Italy
fifty-three years ago and lived nineteen years in Brooklyn. He was a carpenter
and a member of Local 791 of the Carpenters Union and Order of the
Independent Sons of Italy, Lodge Principe Umberto, 114. He is survived by his
mother, Philippina; his widow, Mary; four sons, Vincent, Albert, Frank,
Nicholas; two daughters, Fannie and Caroline, and four brothers, Frank,
Philip, Nicholas and Andrew. The funeral will be held from his late home, 263
East Thirty-fifth street at 9 A.M. tomorrow with requiem mass at the R. C.
Church of the Holy Cross. Interment will be at St. Johns Cemetery under
direction of Carmen Pisano & Sons, 85 Nostrand avenue.
George DAULL died yesterday at his home, 410 Shepherd avenue. He is
survived by a daughter, Mrs. Helen JACKSON. The funeral services will be held
at 8 oclock tonight. Interment at 2 P.M. tomorrow will be at Lutheran
Cemetery.
John P. TROY died Tuesday at his home, 1664 Madison place, Flatbush. He was
a life resident of Brooklyn. He was employed by the J. M. Horton Ice Cream
Company for fifty-three years. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. R. McELGUN
and two sons, Ellis J. and Walter W. TROY. The funeral will be held at 9:30
A.M. Friday with requiem mass at the R. C. Church of the Good Shepherd.
Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery under direction of Daily Bros., 460
State street.
Barbara LAUBENGEIGER died Monday. She was born in Brooklyn thirty-four
years ago. She is survived by her husband, Jacob LAUBENGEIGER; two daughters,
Pauline KERNS and Anna; one son, Jacob, Jr.; three sisters, Mary, Anna and
Barbara, and one brother, Martin. Funeral services Thursday at 7:30 P.M. at
her home, 281 Stagg street, the Rev. Louis MURCELL, of the Fresh Pond Gospel
Mission officiating. Funeral Friday at 10 A.M. with interment at Lutheran
Cemetery under direction of John C. Lutz Sons, 507 Fairview avenue.
Caroline SOFIELD BRIST died yesterday at her home in her thirty-ninth year.
She was a life resident of Brooklyn. She is survived by her husband, Frank;
two daughters, Marie and Florence. The funeral will be held at 9 A.M.
Saturday, with requiem mass at the R. C. Church of St. Brigid. Interment will
be at St. Johns Cemetery under direction of Mrs. Frances Stenger, 289 St.
Nicholas avenue.
William OLSEN, a lineman for the Long Island Railroad Company, died Monday
in his twentieth year. He is survived by his parents, three brothers and three
sisters. He was a life resident of Brooklyn. The funeral will be held at 8:30
A.M. tomorrow from his late home, 1669 Stephens street, Ridgewood, with
requiem mass at the R. C. Church of St. Martin of Tours. Interment will be at
Holy Trinity Cemetery under direction of William WARNECK, 374 Ridgewood
