Obituaries
Anna MONAHAN, died yesterday at her home, 176-17 Ninety-third avenue,
Jamaica. She was formerly a resident of Greenpoint and moved to Jamaica more than
ten years ago. The funeral will be held at 10A.M. Friday, with requiem mass at
the Church of St.Monica,Jamaica. She is survived by a daughter,Agnes and two
sons, Daniel and William MONAHAN. Interment will be ay Calvary Cemetery.
Isabelle MADDEN, died Monday in her thirty-fourth year at her home,8730
114th street, Richmond Hill. She is survived by her husband, James MADDEN,and her
mother. The funeral will be held at 10A.M. to-morrow with requiem mass at the
Church of the Holy Child Jesus, Richmond Hill. Interment will follow at
St.John's Cemetery.
Vivienne KENNEY, a life resident of Brooklyn and daughter of Harry A. and
Caroline DELWAIDE KENNEY,died yesterday at her home, 143 Greene avenue. She was
born Sept 24,1922.She was a member of Queen of All Saints Cathedral Chapel, a
student at the parish school and a member of the Children's Sodality. The
funeral will be held from In Memoriam Chapel,at 10A.M. to-morrow. She is survived
by two sisters,Caroline and Virginia.Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
John MacPARTLAND, a life resident of New York City and for many years
engaged in the wholesale and retail grocery business, died yesterday at his home,
311 Empire Boulevard. He was the husband of the late Ellen A.CORBY MacPARTLAND
He is survived by a daughter,Edith A.MacPARTLAND: two sons,William and
George:
one brother,Edwrd D.,and two sisters Mrs.I.C.LAWYER and Mrs.Ernest RIEBE. The
funeral willbe held at 10 A.M. Thursday.Imterment will be under direction of
William Dunigan & Son, Rogers avenue and Montgomery street.
John COLLINS, died Monday at his home, 1822 East New York avenue. He was
born in Brooklyn ten years ago and was a pupil at P.S.163. He is survived by his
parents, William and Grace (SELOVER)COLLINS. The funeral services will be held
at1P.M. tomorrow. Interment will be at Evergreen.
Thomas F.LYNCH died Tuesday at the Bushwick Hospital. He was born in
Brooklyn forty years ago and lived in Brooklyn and Richmond Hill all his life. He was
a member of the New York City Fire Department attached to Engine Co.211 of
Clymer street,Brooklyn. He was also a member of the R.C.Church of the Immaculate
Conception of Richmond Hill, where a requiem mass will be celebrated Friday
at 10 A.M. He is survived by his wife May LYNCH; one son,William LYNCH; his
parents Thomas G. and Adelie LYNCH; three sisters, Mrs.K.KANE, Mrs.L.FARRELL and
Mrs.M.KILLORIN. Funeral will be held from his home, 115-13 122nd
street,Richmond Hill,N.Y. Interment will be at St.John's Cemetery.
George MacNAMARA, born in Ireland and a resident of Brooklyn for fifty years
died Monday at his home,29 Macon street. He was retired proofreader. He is
survived by three sons, Dr.Lester L.MacNAMARA, Herbert and George MacNAMARA,
and a daughter,Mrs.Florence BROWNIE. The funeral services will be held at 8
o'clock tonight at the funeral chapel at 641a Halsey street.The Rev.Dr.Charles
PITTMAN will officiate.Interment to-morrow will be at Valhalla Burial Park under
direction of A.Chester SMITH,146 Milton street.
Sadie KOERNER,died Sunday at her home,132 Ridgewood avenue. She was a life
resident of Brooklyn.She is survived by a brother,Anthony HUSSY. The funeral
was held at 10 A.M. today and interment was under the direction of the Estate of
George PETH, 15 Palmetto street.
Antonio MANGIAROTTI, died Monday at his home,20 Highlawn avenue,in his
thirty-third year. He was born in Italy and had been a resident of Brooklyn for
nineteen years. He was a member of the Roofers Union. He is survived by his
wife,Vincenza MANGIAROTTI; one son,Thomas,and one daughter,Rosa. Funeral Thursday
at 8:30A.M., with a requiem mass at the Church of St.Mary Mother of Jesus.
Interment at Calvary Cemetery under direction of Robert R.DONOVAN, 2089 Fulton
street.
Mary HALLAHAN, died yesterday at her home,265 Ninth street.She is survived
by a son, Neil and three daughters,Mrs.Louis FINN, Mrs.Jean HAYES and rs John
TARTAGHA. The funeral willbe held at 9 A.M. Friday with requiem mass at the
Church of St.Thomas Aquinas,Fourth avenue and Ninth..... rest cut off
