Obituaries
MARGARETTA WILSON died Wednesday in her sixty-fourth year at her home, 725
East Fifth street. She was born on Long Island and is survived by two sisters
and two brothers. The funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday at the
Buss Funeral Home, 6708 Myrtle avenue. Interment will follow at Greenfield
Cemetery, Hempstead.
EDWARD I. HERRON died yesterday at his home, 143 Fulton street. He was a
messenger in Wall street. He is survived by an aunt, Maria A. WEST. The
funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. tomorrow at 187 South Oxford street.
Interment will be at Macpelah Cemetery, Union Hill, N.J. under direction of
William J. Dalton.
ASTRID SORBOM died Wednesday. She was born in Sweden thirty years ago. She
is survived by her husband, Nils; infant son, her parents and one sister.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. J. Alfred ANDERSON of Salem
Lutheran Church on Saturday at 2 oclock at the funeral chapel of Charles A.
Sandstrom, 4603 Fourth avenue. Cremation will be at Fresh Pond.
PATRICK J. LOUGHLIN died yesterday at his home, 685 McDonough street. He
was born in County Wicklow, Ireland and had been a resident of Brooklyn for
many years. He was a boss horseshoer, having been engaged in business for many
years on Hancock street, near Saratoga. He was a member of the Jefferson
Democratic Club of the Fifth Assembly District. He is survived by his widow,
Mary BROWN LOUGHLIN, two sons, John B. and William J.; two brothers, Thaddeus
and Michael, and one granddaughter. He was a member of the Holy Name Society
attached to the R. C. Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, where requiem mass
will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Monday. Interment will be at Holy Cross
Cemetery.
CHARLES BIEGNER died Wednesday at his home, 102 Newell street, in his
fifty-ninth year. He was born in New York and for the past thirty years was a
resident of Greenpoint. He is survived by his widow, Beatrice; three sons,
Charles, George and Conrad; four daughters, Beatrice, Grace, Dorothea and
Alice; also seven grandchildren. He was a member of the Republican Alpha Club.
Funeral services tonight at 8 oclock. The Rev. J. M. HOELZER of St. Lukes
Lutheran Church will officiate at his late residence. Interment at Mount
Olivet Cemetery Saturday at 2 P.M. under the direction of Joseph P. Soyka.
MARY MULLEN died Wednesday at her home, 388 Pacific street. She was born in
Ireland sixty-eight years ago and was a resident of Brooklyn for forty years.
She was the widow of Edward X. MULLEN, a member of the old Brooklyn Police
Department. She was president of the Rosary Society of Our Lady of Mercy
Church. She is survived by five nieces, Mrs. Sarah CODDINGTON of Walkill,
N.Y., Mrs. Winifred McGRATH, Central Islip; Mrs. R. LARSEN of Brooklyn; Mrs.
Lillian DILL of Little Ferry, and Margory ROONEY of Brooklyn. Interment at
Holy Cross Cemetery under direction of William J. Lanning, 294 Vanderbilt
avenue, following requiem mass at St. Josephs R. C. Church.
HOWARD W. BUCKLEY, son of the late John J. and Nellie McQUEEN BUCKLEY, died
Tuesday. Funeral from the residence of his grandmother, Mrs. Mary McQUEEN,
1053 Myrtle avenue, Saturday at 8:30 A.M., thence to St. John the Baptist R.
C. Church, Willoughby and Lewis avenues, where a mass of solemn requiem will
be celebrated. He is survived by a grandmother, Mrs. Mary McQUEEN. He was a
clerk for the Hamburg American Steamship Company. Interment at Holy Cross
Cemetery under the direction of George T. McHugh, 783 Myrtle avenue.
