You can't get MD vital records as easily as other places. Luckily, my
research is in NY even though I live in Baltimore. I've been here since 1947 and am
still considered an out-of-towner.

Hi All,
Ah me!, That would be Elkton Maryland........Register at the nearest
Motel.....Go into town, find a justice of the peace and Bingo.....No waiting
period or blood tests. It was a very popular place, and perfectly legal. Of
course over time the laws changed and now it's not done., but way back
then....especially on Mondays, Guys and gals would get carried away on a
Saturday nite date, drive to Md. stay over Sunday and married on
Monday.....As to records, I'm sure they wound up in the Maryland marriage
records dep.t, I do not know how to get them.
