J,
Have you tried searching the parents on Worldconnect?
Although it will not show living people, you can contact the person
who posted the information and make contact that way. Be
creative. Most people do not enter birthplaces or deathplaces,
and common names are hard to trace--but try Filipowski also.
The most common data besides names entered are birthdates;
if you do not know exact ones, use the feature of + or - years.
I have had great success with this and recently tracked down
descendants of a rebellious widowed cousin who had left Ireland
100 years ago and "went to America with two children."
I did not know who she married next, what state she lived in,
or the first names of her children. Using creative census and
Worldconnect searches, I found someone who knew them.

> Hi. Does anyone know how I could find out what school my cousins went to
in Brooklyn if they lived at 1618 W. 11th St. in 1933-34. They would have
been high school age at the time. They are from a branch of the PHILLIPS
(formerly FILIPOWSKI) family from Suwalki which I have not been able to
contact even though there were 7 children and their cousins lived right
across the street. The parents didn't get along (after 7 kids?) and the mom
wouldn't let them have anything to do with the cousins. I'm hoping maybe
their high schools might have some way of knowing what became of these
boys, the two youngest Larry and David, after high school. Thanks, J.
