I just heard from Joe Coen, Archivist for the Roman Catholic Diocese of
Brooklyn that Diocese of Immigrants: The Brooklyn Catholic Experience,
1853-2003, a history of the Diocese co-authored by Joe and Pat McNamara,
is now on sale through his office. Someone on the list reported earlier
that the book was available in Diocese of Brooklyn parishes for those
living in Brooklyn or Queens. That's true. However, for those of us who
live outside of the Diocese, copies are available through the Office of
the Archives. To order directly from the Archives, send $35 for each
copy (that INCLUDES shipping and handling). Please make your check or
money order payable to "R. C. Diocese of Brooklyn" and send it to:
