Any ideas where a person from Manhattan would go to get a quick divorce/annulment and get married outside NYC? I have exhausted all NYC records and feel quite confident that
my grandmother must have gone outside the area. This was about 1926/27.

I was watching a pbs special on mary pickford, the actress, who resided in NYC and it mentioned that she went to NJ for a divorce. I am totally unfamiliar with the east coast so I don't know where (what county, city etc) to look. Any ideas?
