I'm a new subscriber in England, seeking any information about the
descendants of my great grandmother's brother George CAPSTICK and his wife
Isabella nee Stubbs. George migrated to New York in 1861 from Liverpool,
England.
His son George Stubbs Capstick married in Kings County, Brooklyn around
1880, his wife was also Isabella, maiden name unknown. By 1910, there were
4 of 11 children still alive and living with their mother in Kings,
Brooklyn. They were Eleanor A b.1881, married Albert Hoxie, Isabella b.
1885 and married ? Buckley, George H b. 1892 married Lillian and Louisa
b.1895 married ? Brown. The following obituary notices were posted on the
NYBrooklyn list a few years ago:

"CAPSTICK - On Friday, May 10, 1907, George S., beloved husband of
Isabella M. CAPSTICK, in his 50th year. Relatives and friends are
invited to attend funeral services at his late residence, 59 Chauncey
st., near Lewis ave., on Sunday, May 12, at 8 P.M. Interment private"

"CAPSTICK-On March 2, 1931, George H., beloved husband of Lillian CAPSTICK,
and brother of Agnes HOXIE, Isabella BUCKLEY and Louise M. BROWN. Funeral
services at home of his sister, Mrs. Albert D. HOXIE, 5504 89th st.,
Woodhaven, L.I., on Wednesday evening, March 4, at 8 o'clock."

I would also be interested in any descendants of John Francis Edmund
Capstick, brother to George Stubbs Capstick. He died on 6 Oct 1909 at
Kings, Brooklyn, I don't know if he married but a New York website shows the
deaths of 2 children at Kings Co, who were not those of George Stubbs, -
Elmer R in 1908 age 8 months and George E died 1913 age 12
