Hello List,
I do believe it's time for me to hire a pro genealogist with research in
Brooklyn for my Jackson/Guthrie families.
Won't go into full detail of info because of the length but will give a
brief summary.

JACKSON FAMILY
William A. 10/16/1854 Osceola, Lewis Co. NY - 7/2/1917 Brooklyn, Kings Co. NY
living on McDonough St. William was a custom inspector ( my great grand uncle)
Lucy A. - 1856 unk where - 2/27/1934 - Lynbook, Nassau Co. NY (living with
daughter)
William, Lucy buried in Cypress Hill Cem. they have a stone. Also on this
stone is a Lewis R. Lament - 1853 - 1893 believe this to be a brother of Lucy A.
sons of William and Lucy
William Leon - 9/1879 Brooklyn - 1/21/1946 - Kings Park State Hospital
Louis R. - 2/1884 Brooklyn - 9/28/1957 - 330th W. 50th St New York City
These sons are buried in Cypress Hill Cem. - there isn't a stone for either.
George E. - 12/20/1885 Brooklyn - unk Believe he was married to a Mary/May
Gardner and they had one daughter, Florence A. The 1910 census shows this
family living with Marys father. By 1920 census George a widow is with his mother,
sister, Florence E. From here lost track of George
Daughter of William, Lucy
Florence E. 12/1893 Brooklyn - unk. Florence married a Philip Farley abt
1923. 1930 census Lynbrook, Nassau Co. has Philip, Florence, 2 daughters, Dorothy,
Eileen and Florences mother Lucy.
After Lucy died in 1934 believe Farley family moved to Mass. I have pictures
of Dorothy, Eileen take abt 1943 by Hoffman Studio, Northampton, Mass. (these
women would be in their 80s if still living today)
I do have pictures of William A., Lucy A. Taken by C.L. Kemff or Kempp, 185
Myrtle Brooklyn.
3 sons - William L. George E., Louis R. Taken by United States Portrait Co.
371 Fulton St. Brooklyn.
Florence E. taken by Rawson, Brooklyn
All these were in the Jackson family photo album. Several more photos of
people in Brooklyn but unidentified.

GUTHRIE FAMILY
Thomas, Esther with daughters Jane, Elizabeth came to the USA bet 1863 - 1865
from England. 1870 census who we believe is this family as ages fit. Another
daughter Victoria was born in NY. Thomas was a sailmaker in England and states
this on the census.
Jane is my Great Grandmother she married the brother of William A. Jackson.
So it is believe that William knew or met them when he moved to Brooklyn abt
1875/76.
We have a poem that was written by Elizbeth (Lizzie) 7/23/1878 in autograph
book belonging to Jane. Jane (Jennie) came to Redfield,Oswego Co. around 1876
to live with Aunt where she met her future husband, Marion David Jackson. Unk
what happen to parents of Jane , may have died or moved back to England. No
other info for Elizabeth or Victoria. If they married it is going to be
difficult to find them.

If you know of a pro genealogist that could help me with some records for
above folks I would be very greatful. I'm look for death, marriage, birth
certificates. What kind of hospital was this Kings Park State? It sounds almost like
a mental hospital.

I guess it wasn't all that brief thanks for being patience.
