Subject: AOL Phone scam

I received a phone call yesterday from a woman claiming to be from AOL
stating my account was in arrears two months. She asked me to verify my home
address and then said she would take my account info over the phone. I gave her
my credit card number and when my card statement arrived last night I had
been billed. I wrote AOL and they told me to disregard the call as my account
was up to date. I have no recourse but to close the card account and transfer
to another service. AOL did not comment on their poor security. This call
was made by someone with access to AOL RECORDS. So much for their security.
