NYPL has digital Sanborn maps for New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, 1867-1970. They can be used on the computers in the Humanities and Social Sciences Library; Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture; Science, Industry and Business Library; and The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Because of the cost of a subscription, they're not available remotely from NYPL.
Hard copy of Sanborn maps for New York City from the 1850s to the present are available in NYPL's Map Division.
The Library of Congress and the New York State Library have maps for New York State.
ProQuest has an exclusive agreement with the EDR Sanborn Company to distribute the maps to libraries.

Hi list- I was wondering if anyone has used the digital sanborn maps. From
everything I have read, it is a valuable resource. I have asked NYBGS if
they will be offering them on-line and I was told they currently do not have
plans for this.
