Subject: Coney Island Death

I have a death certificate for my ggf. The cause of death is listed as
"Shock Compound Facture of Legs Trolley". The place of death says
"Reception Hospital Coney Island". However, the coroner took charge of
the body at Kings County Hospital.
Family lore always said he died in a "train accident". He was only 35.
Questions:
1) Can one get run over by a trolley?
2) Were there trolleys at Coney Island in 1903?
3) Reception Hospital at Coney Island?
4) His occupation is listed as Engraver. Any guesses as to whether
he was working or "playing" on the day he died?
Thanks.
