Emigrant Savings Bank records are, to the best of my knowledge, only located
in the Rare Books and Manuscripts Division of the NY Public Library and the
NY Genealogical Society.

This is a new acquisition at the NYG&B. They have everything except the real
estate books--the Bond and Mortgage Books and the Bond and Mortgage Ledgers.
Those are at the NYPL. And, between you and me, the microfilm at the NYPL is
better. The NYG&B copy is too light and too dark to read in spots--the film
is probably a copy of the NYPL film (not of the original records) and isn't
as clear.
