Charles Sullivan seems to be the NYC census guru. I / we all thank you.
you answered my question about the continuance of Ward designations until the
appearance of EDs. Now I wonder, did they also retain their boundary
designations from census to census?
Another question I asked a while back, to which I have received no answer and
thought I'd throw out again is about Churches. I had a gggrandfather, from
Northern Ireland, Protestant (probably Presbyterian) who lived in the 16th
Ward (1860 & 1870 censuses) and 410 West 25th St. in the 1880 census. Is there
an area ethnic church, in at least the earlier times, that he might have
attended?
