I checked out that website (http://www.inlink.com/~nomi/vitalrec/ny.html)
and it's mostly nonsense - just roadkill on the Information Superhighway (tm).
Vital records in NY State are maintained at the State level and at the
City/Town/Village level. Except for one or possibly two counties, they
are _not_ maintained at the county level.
